Micro-Macro Group: Report and Experience Reports

Within the framework of the collective program “Economic initiatives for a solidarity society and fight against exclusion” at the FPH, a working group on “the link between the micro and macro scale” has been meeting since 1995.

After having studied several cases, a report has been written to define this issue and to open the "MicMac" club.

This file attempts to find out how micro and macro levels interact with one other. One of the hypotheses is that, at least for the moment, of considering the "micro" scale as the preferred level for innovation within the framework of the fight against exclusion with economics.

The subject of this shift from the "micro" to the “macro” scale is not focused, but transverse. The interaction between local initiatives and global dynamics can be located at different levels: the support of initiatives, the spread of initiatives, alliance between initiatives, strategies to shift to the macro level, the role of the cultural and institutional environment.
