The September 11 attacks have forced many people around the world into deep questioning about the world we live in, our own, individual place in it, and what our actions can or cannot lead to. We want to move beyond blame casting and denunciation of inept leadership. It is our individual, and collective, responsibility to take the time to understand, so we can act now for lasting change.
A working forum has been proposed for the construction of peace under the banner "To understand, so we can act." Understand, first, each other and ourselves. Understand, too, how all the aspects of the life we live are or can be related to building a culture of peace.
Discussion is organized in a spirit of open dialogue around four main themes: Humanity and the Biosphere; Society and Economy in Solidarity; Governance; Education, Art, Culture, and Values.
