June 2001: Continental Meetings of the Alliance for a Responsible, Plural and United World

Five continental meetings were organized between June 17 and 26 2001, to show the determination to build a new world citizenship at the scale of today’s challenges of today. This set of meetings, which were held simultaneously on the 5 continents, gathered 500 people from 120 countries and were followed by several thousand people on the Web site set up for the event. Simultaneously and in support to these meetings, "Drums for Peace" groups beat their drums throughout the world as the other voices, visions, and other proposals from those of the "drums of war." The texts, photos and videos of the preparation and the holding of these meetings were put together on a CD-ROM and the on the Web site of the Alliance.
