Silk Road to the Human Responsibilities

“Responsibility,” a word both familiar and unfamiliar. A word with vast dimensions, which has been interpreted differently depending on the situation and conditions. Responsibility as a flow is an evolutionary current—evolution of morality, justice, values, and Human Rights. Upon realizing the significance and the implications of responsibility, we might need to go deeper into our individual and social intelligence to reach a new definition of the word. “Citizenship,” “morality,” “justice,” and “Human Rights”: each has its own special meaning for each of us and forms our relationship with the world. The need to find a common meaning for this word seems truly necessary. Seeking to find ways to become more familiar with “responsibility” and to turn that into a common, shared concept can help us move forward in the same direction: these are the main reasons to have opened a door here, in this workgroup.
