Closing Ceremony
The closing ceremony enabled us to form a first picture of the debates
that took place in the workshops and, subsequently, to present the new
version of the Charter as resulting from the Assembly's work sessions.

The speech pronounced at the closing ceremony
of the World Citizens Assembly includes two parts. The first describes
the working process of the Assembly. It was broken up into four
stages: a statement of the necessary mutations by each of the
twenty socioprofessional groups; considerations by each of the
twenty socioprofessional groups on the Charter of Human Responsibilities;
a selection of seventeen major themes reflecting the convergence
of the proposals by the different socioprofessional groups and
an outline of a strategy for each of these themes; elaboration
of a plan of action for the themes judged to be important. The
second part presents the possible next stage of the Alliance after
the Assembly.
