The works of the Alliance for a Responsible, Plural and United World
shifted into high gear in the course of 2000-2001. The
Charles Léopold Mayer Foundation for the Progress of Humankind
allocated an exceptional budget to its work program. The pre-existing
Thematic
Workshops and Socioprofessional
Networks fixed a work
program that would allow them each to draft a Proposal
Paper previous to the Lille Assembly. The Alliance was enlarged
through the integration of other social and professional spheres by
setting up fifteen new "socioprofessional networks." Five
Continental Assemblies were held simultaneously in June 2001. Working
methods were enhanced, detailed, standardized, and circulated.
The World Assembly leads, in 2002, to a new stage of the Alliance.
