Je m'appelle Sabiha BOUGUERRA, je suis tunisienne, mariee, mere de deux
filles, j'ai 59 ans. J'ai fait mes etudes superieures a la Sorbonne
(Paris).
J'etais inspectrice (de francais) de l'Enseignement secondaire; je m'etais
essentiellement occupee de la pedagogie du Francais : elaboration de
programmes de reforme, de documents didactiques a l'usage des professeurs
et des eleves ( manuels scolaires et livrets parascolaires) ; redaction
d'articles en rapport avec les problemes poses par l'enseignement du
francais a des eleves arabophones ; evaluation de manuels en vigueur... ;
direction et animation de stages et de seminaires de formation pedagogique
s'adressant aux enseignants de francais ...
J'avais egalement participe a des congres et des colloques nationaux et
internationaux dont ceux organises par l'AUPELF : I.L.I.(Institut de
Linguistique Internationale), a Rabat puis a Alexandrie ;
l'A.P.F.A.(Association de Professeurs de francais d'Afrique), a l'Ile
Maurice ; la F.I.P.F.(Federation Internationale des Professeurs de
francais), a Thessalonique...
J'ai, par la suite, entrepris des travaux de recherche (D.E.A. et these) de
Litterature francaise et suis, actuellement, enseignante de Langue et de
Litterature francaises a la Faculte des Lettres de la Manouba (Tunis).
Je suis, par ailleurs, membre de l'A.T.P.F.(Association Tunisienne des
Professeurs de Francais, de l'A.T.F.D.(Association Tunisienne des Femmes
Democrates) et de l'A.F.T.U.R.D.(Association des Femmes Tunisiennes
Universitaires pour La Recherche du Developpement).
J'accepte avec d'autant plus de plaisir de participer a ce Forum europeen
et en particulier au theme " Migrations et Citoyennete Multiculturelle "
que Romain Rolland, l'auteur sur lequel j'ai travaille, mettait en cause le
systeme politique et social de l'Europe de son epoque, d'une Europe divisee
par des nationalismes exacerbes et qui n'avait pas su trouver un remede a
son mal . Et deja (avant la guerre de 1914 qu'il denoncait aprement),
Romain Rolland cherchait ce remede aupres d'autres nations du monde dont
les forces intellectuelles, pensait-il, realiseraient l'" Harmonie " de
l'Europe qui devait avoir un sens " symphonique " des valeurs. Celles d'un
homme qui, toujours en lutte contre toute discrimination de nation ou de
race, insistait sur ce qui unit les hommes et non ce qui les divise.

My name is Sabiha BOUGUERRA, I am Tunisian, married, mother of two girls, I
am 59 years old. I did my university studies at the Sorbonne (Paris).
I was an inspector (of French) of the secondary teaching; I had essentially
taken care of the educational methods of the French: elaboration of
programs of reforms, of educational documents to the use of the professors
and pupils (school manuals and extra-scholar booklets); writing of articles
related to the problems presented by the teaching of French to some
arabophones pupils; assessment of actual manuals... ; direction and
moderation of workshops and seminars of educational training applying to
the French teachers...
I also had participated to congresses and the national and international
seminars organized by the AUPELF: I.L.I. (International Institute of
Linguistics), in Rabat then in Alexandria; the A.P.F.A.( Association of
Professors of French of Africa), in Mauritius; the F.I.P.F. (International
Federation of the French Professors), in Thessalonique...
I have, thereafter, undertook some research work (D.E.A. and thesis) in
French literature and I am, currently, teacher of French Language and
literature at the Faculty of the Letters of the Manouba (Tunis).
I am, otherwise, member of the A.T.P.F.( Association Tunisienne des
Professeurs de Francais - Tunisian Association of the French Professors, of
the A.T.F.D.( Association Tunisienne des Femmes Democrates - Tunisian
Association of the Democratic Women) and of the A.F.T.U.R.D.( Association

Association of the Tunisians Women Academic for The Research of the
Development).
I accept with a lot of pleasure to participate to this European Forum and
in particular to the topic "Migrations and Multicultural Citizenship" that
Romain Rolland, the author on which I have worked, put the political and
social system of Europe of his time in question, of an Europe divided by
exacerbated nationalisms and that had not known how to find a remedy to its
difficulty. And already (before the war of 1914 that he denounced
bitingly), Romain Rolland looked for this remedy with regard to other
nations of the world of which the intellectual strengths, he thought, would
complete the "Harmony" of Europe that had to have a "symphonic sense" of
the values. Those of a man who, always in fight against all discrimination
of nation or race, insisted on what unites the men and not on what divides
them.
