Je suis juriste au Ministère du Travail du Portugal et je suis aussi membre
de la Commission Nationale Justice et Paix (catholique) de mon Pays.

Je suis d'accord avec le projet, et je peux y souscrire. En tout cas, je
vais
faire quelques petits commentaires, basés dans la version française,
concernant les § 2, 3,9,12 et 13.
a) - § 2: En parlant de la terre comme "Mère véritable de toute
l´Humanité", le texte utilise un langage métaphorique, vraiment beau. Mais,
il faut écarter le danger de lectures éventuellement fondées sur des
perspectives "panthéistes", qui ne seraient pas acceptables par ceux qui
croient que l´Homme et la Terre ont été créés par Dieu.
La version anglaise serait moins vulnérable, á la mesure oú utilise
l'éxpression "Mère virtuelle".
Pour mieux correspondre à cette préoccupation, j'oserais proposer une
version
un peu différente de la première partie du § 2, en disant quelque chose
comme ça:
Nous reconnaissons la Terre comme le berceau et, dans un certain sens, la
Mère de toute l´Humanité.
b) - Dans le § 3 je remplacerais la première parole "Considérant" par
"Perspectivant".
c) Dans le § 9: La formulation "....êtres de culture, qui appartiennent à
certaines réligions et/ou cultures..." je remplacerais "Appartiennent" par
"suivent" , ou une autre formulation.
d) Dans le § 12, à la fois de "Puisque nous sommes fils et filles de la
Terre", je dirais quelque chose dans le même sens de l'altération des § 2 et
3.
e) Finalement, dans la 1ère ligne du § 13, je dirais "devront", à la fois
de "devraient".

it is necessary to separate the danger of readings possibly founded on
"pantheistic" perspectives, that would not be acceptable to those that
believe that humanity and the Earth have been created by God.
The English version would be less vulnerable, á measures it oú uses
the éxpression "virtual Mother."
To respond better to this concern, I would dare to propose a version
slightly different from the first part of § 2, saying something like:
We recognize the Earth as the cradle and, in a certain sense, the,
Mother of all humanity.
b) - In § 3, I would replace the first speech "Considering" by
"In the perspective of seeing"
c) In § 9, I would change the formulation "..cultural beings, who belong to
certain religions and/or traditions... " by replacing "belong" with
"follow", or another such formulation.
d) In § 12, in place of "Since we are sons and daughters of the Earth", I
would say something in the same sense as the change of § 2 and 3.
e) Finally, in the 1st line of § 13, I would say "will have to", in place
of "are urged to."
