My name is Zhao Yifeng. Zhao is the last name.Currently, I am a full
professor of history in Northeast Normal University, Changchun, Jilin,
China. I have lived in China for more than 30 years and lived in the West
for 10 years.
I haave become more and more aware of the importance of religious
consciousness in human life. As a historian, I hold the view that the
changes in human societies, as well as in the human being himselfor
herself, has been speeding up during the past century, and this has put us
in an increasingly non-predictable situation. Such a challenge leads me to
be interested and involved in interreligious communications. To me,
religion is the
essential base of our self identity, value, wisdom, and mutual respect. I
mainly study and share the values
of Confucianism but I would rather not claim that I am a Confucian. I would
like to have opportunities to
meet and exchange ideas with our friends in this network.

que je suis un Confucéen. J'aimerais avoir des occasions à rencontrer et
échanger des idées avec nos amis dans ce réseau.
