greetings. The main reason for delay is that we have received relatively
few personal introductions. Those who met in the Cenacle meeting of
September 1999 already know each other, but this is not necessarily true

INTRODUCTION.
The desired self-introduction may well respond to the questions which we
hope to be treating during the first two months of this year, namely
concrete religious or inter-religious engagements addressed to the
challenges of the 21st century. As we have already indicated we hope to
discuss such issues ahead of the Assembly of the Alliance for a
Responsible, Plural and United World, to be held in Lille, France in
December 2001.
We are also planning a meeting with the Bossey Ecumenical Institute,
Geneva, Switzerland, 21 - 26 August 2001, in order to reflect on issues
such as:
1. Promotion of dignity and solidarity faced with challenges of
globalization;
2. Acceptance of diversity and promotion of equality faced with challenges
to build plural societies;
3. Building peace and motivating responsibility for just governance and
citizenship.
THESE ARE ALSO THEMES WHERE WE SHOULD BE GLAD TO PUBLISH YOUR
EXPERIENCES AND CONCERNS.

du 21ème siècle. Comme nous avons déjà indiqué nous espérons discuter de
telles questions en avant de l'Assemblée de l'Alliance pour un Monde

Nous organisons aussi une rencontre avec l'Institut Oecuménique à Bossey,
