Asia-Pacific Alliance

During years, The Group of Asia has focused its activities on ecological, cultural and social issues, concerning the Asia Pacific region but also elsewhere. Among their initiatives:
- The Alliance network for journalists called The Transforming Word.
- an Alliance network on Water issues.
- The Asia-Pacific journal of the Alliance called Butterfly Futures.
- The organization of workshops in many countries in the Asia-Pacific region on sustainable development, and in other diverse and significant issues like global governance
- The secular Ashram called Fire-flies, a space of spiritual deepening and local engagement
- The South Asia Group of the Charter of Human Responsibilities.
- Participation in other Asian organization on social issues like:
* ACFOD (the Asian Cultural Forum for Development) Bangkok,
* The South North Network Cultures and Development based in Brussels.
* Asian Rainbow (Manila) an inter-religious resource group on the contribution of culture to a sustainable development process.
