2001 Assemblies

The Worlds Citizen Assembly took place in Lille, France, in December 2-10, 2001. Attended by four hundred participants representing a fair balance of the different regions of the world and of the different socioprofessional spheres, the Assembly foreshadowed a Global Parliament. This was not an isolated event, but the culmination of a large number of international workshops that had been organized according to themes, regions or socioprofessional networks within the framework of the Alliance for a Responsible, Plural and United World. Five other preparatory continental meetings have been organized between June 17 and 26, 2001, in India, Ecuador, Romania, Tanzania and Lebanon.

European Continental Assembly

The document gives informations on the European continental assembly (Romania 17-21 of June 2001) : the participants, topics, the methodology of work and the results expected. During the year 1998, a big campaign of consultation among the allies on their vision of the assembly 2000-1 has been led.
